FEA Optimized FramesWe have taken the time and effort to make sure we have the stiffest frame available. Purpose built and backed up by real world installations as well as the latest FEA software, there is no doubt we have the stiffest frames in the industry.
Bosch-Rexroth Servo Proportional ValvesServo precision movement in a hydraulic system. With this state-of-the-art system MPG can maintain movement accuracy below .005".
NEMA 4 Plugs and EnclosuresHigh voltage systems are nothing to take lightly. NEMA 4 is our baseline standard for cabinets as well as plugs and outlets. Safety is our primary concern and we will not put your operators at risk with inferior components.
Quick Release Side PanelsMachine maintenance is an easy task with our quick release side panels. Operators and maintenance crew can easily and safely access the critical areas of the machine.
Die Mounting SystemOur standard die mounting system allows the operator to move the die side to side and above or below the product centerline. Front and rear mounts can be adjusted independently to offset product warp and bow. Round mounting bars create a single tangent contact reducing thermal drain on the die.

Closed-Loop Speed ControlClosed loop position feedback along with the Bosch-Rexroth servo valves provides unmatched precision in our motion control.
B&R Control PlatformDurapul controls are designed to allow MPG to monitor machine functions, diagnose problems and update machine programs from a remote location. B&R is a German made product with global distribution reach and international tech support. B&R reliability is the best we have found, and their technology makes adding machine functions and modules in the field a breeze.
MPG is able to integrate any industrial control system into Durapul equipment. Currently, we have programming for B&R, Eaton/Moeller & Automation Direct platforms, or Allen Bradley as an upgrade.
HMI Machine Control StationFeatures a 340 degree swivel pendant display that permits the operator to see and control all process variables from either side of the machine. This feature is especially convenient for the operator during start-up.
Interactive Touch Screen ControlsEasy to follow, color coded processing screens create an intuitive HMI which increases efficiency and improves production. The solvent resistant touch screen displays machine functions in large, easy to find color coded buttons which provide the operator with the necessary visual feedback to be confident with the machine operation. A single "Run Screen" displays all the necessary controls and feedback in one convenient screen such that the operator does not need to page through a number of screens to gather run-time information. Alarm events are time-tagged to assist manufacturing supervisors with identifying process problems. Supervisor level and maintenance controls can be PIN or password protected and all digital and analog I/O is readily displayed.
Continuous Process Load MonitoringThe Durapul control system collects process data which can be displayed on a trend screen for purposes of process optimization. Our standard controls track heat zone temperatures, pull speed, pull force and electrical consumption. However, we can trend any data collected by the system or integrated corollary systems. Collected data can be stored locally, downloaded to an external media, sent to a server or automatically emailed to your inbox.
Multi-Lingual, Multi-Unit ControlsDurapul machines come with a quick selection menu for multi-lingual operation. The machine operator can also quickly change between Metric or Imperial units.
Process Status LightsGreen, Yellow and Red status lights easily communicate the machine's current status.
Yellow=machine paused by operator or by programmed purge
Red=machine stopped and awaiting further commands.
Multi-Zone PID Temperature ControlEach machine comes standard with 4-8 controlled heat zones, depending on machine size (additional zones are available). Each zone is controlled with a PID system which maintains a set-point accuracy of just a few degrees. Temperature control is monitored via thermocouple placement within the die. Set-Point and Present Value are displayed for each zone along with an amperage readout. Historical trend data is also available through the Heater History page. The total number of heat zones is easily customized for unique applications or multiple cavities. Durapul controls also offer an "auto tune" feature which will further optimize the PID system to your specific die.
Automatic, Flying Cut-Off SawTravels with the profile and returns to its home position after the cut. Dust is easily collected to your plant system from a conventional-sized port on the side of the saw.
Dust ContainmentOur saws are vented for dust evacuation to your plant's dust collection system. Saw blades are fully contained within a steel housing which also serves to control dust. A good vacuum system and proper air flow are required for optimum efficiency.
